How Effective Is Vein Ablation for Unwanted Veins?

RF Vein Ablation

Receiving an RF Vein Ablation treatment from the experts at VENUS Vein Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska can be a fantastic way to improve your health and physical appearance. Removing unwanted varicose veins from your legs will decrease itchy feelings and other negative symptoms. Eliminating these veins will also improve the appearance of your skin.

How Effective Is Vein Ablation for Unwanted Veins?

Vein ablation is a sophisticated technique that will quickly eliminate your damaged veins. We can use two ablation methods to improve your veins: radiofrequency ablation and VenaSeal ablation. Both of these techniques are very good at fixing your vein issues. In fact, it’s common to experience a dramatic improvement in your veins after you receive a single ablation session.

How Will These Techniques Improve My Veins?

Each of our vein ablation techniques uses a slightly different method to improve your vein problems.

Radiofrequency Ablation

During your radio frequency vein ablation session, we will use an incision to put a very small catheter into your body. This catheter will send heat energy into your damaged vein. This energy will cause the collagen in the walls of your vein to contract. As the collagen contracts, the vein will seal off.

Sealing the walls of your vein will prevent blood from moving through this vessel. As your blood stops flowing through this blood vessel, your body will gradually absorb your unwanted vein.

VenaSeal Ablation

During a VenaSeal ablation session, we will use a medical-grade adhesive to seal your unwanted vein. We will start by cleaning the skin in your target area and making a tiny incision into your body. Next, we will place a catheter into your unwanted vein. This catheter will allow us to seal your vein with our medical-grade adhesive.

Sealing your vein will stop your blood from traveling through this vessel. Over time, your body will slowly eliminate this damaged vein. Removing this vein will improve the quality of your complexion.

Am I a Suitable Candidate for These Ablation Techniques?

If your twisting, damaged veins bother you, you are likely to be an ideal candidate for our radiofrequency vein ablation and VenaSeal ablation techniques. That said, we will need to look at your veins and talk about your medical background before you receive any of our ablation treatments. Once we have finished examining your veins, we will select a good vein removal treatment for you.

What Techniques Can Be Used to Diagnose My Vein Issues?

When you have your initial consultation at our VENUS Vein Clinic, we will use a variety of techniques to analyze the condition of your veins. In general, this evaluation will take about one hour to complete.

First, our Registered Nurse will talk about your health and medical background. You will also be provided with special garments to wear during the next part of your evaluation. Next, our founder Dr. Kelly Schroeder will examine your veins and talk about your concerns. In addition, you will receive a vascular ultrasound from our Registered Vascular Technician. Dr. Schroeder will use this information to determine an appropriate vein treatment for you.

Can I Use Other Methods to Remove My Unwanted Veins?

We can use a large range of quick, gentle techniques to fix your unwanted veins.

Varithena

If you would like to fade your varicose veins in a minimally invasive manner, you should consider getting a Varithena treatment. This FDA-approved technique uses a microfoam to improve the condition of many different types of varicose veins.

During a Varithena treatment, we will transmit a special microfoam into your unwanted vein. This microfoam will push blood out of this vein and cause it to collapse. Although this treatment does not eliminate your damaged veins, it will cause these veins to stop bulging under your skin. This treatment can also improve the discomfort that is associated with your damaged veins.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

An ambulatory phlebectomy is a good way to completely eliminate unwanted veins in your legs. When you receive this treatment, we will use a local anesthetic to numb the tissues in your legs. Next, we will extract your varicose veins from this part of your body. Since this treatment uses a gentle technique to remove your unwanted blood vessels, you won’t have to spend a long time recovering from your ambulatory phlebectomy.

Compression Stockings

If you are afraid of getting injections or incisions, you should consider using compression stockings to improve your varicose veins. These special stockings use carefully controlled force to improve the quality of your blood flow. Our stockings will usually put gentle pressure on your ankles and feet. This pressure can relieve the negative sensations that are associated with your varicose veins.

We will usually instruct you to wear your stockings during the daytime. If your issues are more severe, we may tell you to continue wearing these stockings during the night. In addition, we may tell you to keep your legs in an elevated position when you are sleeping. Changing your sleeping position can create additional improvements in your blood flow.
